As CFO, Bruce leads finance and operations, and serves as executive advisor to our President and CEO, Jeff Sweenor. He has mastered the art of focusing a business on a plan, and brings a track record  of building and shaping high-performance cultures to his role.

Bruce views his job as getting everybody on our team into a steady pattern of doing their best.  Not always an easy feat with operations akin to manufacturing – but where you never build the same thing twice, and you must account for unreliable inputs like weather.  Good thing his experience runs the gamut of the industry!

Mr. Charleson applies insights gained from an over 25-year career at Arnold Lumber Company in a variety of leadership roles including CEO and CFO.  He has been distinguished as “The Rhode Island Lumber Person of the Year”, and has held board positions for several organizations including the Rhode Island Builders Association.  Bruce started out as a CPA.  He has a Bachelors in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island, and an MBA from Bryant University.

Always serious about work, and much less so about life, Bruce seems to hold the key for balancing professional and personal harmony.  He values human connections above all, and creates environments where everyone thrives.
