DOUG BLAINE

With more than a decade of project management experience under his belt, Doug oversees all aspects of building execution.  From start to finish, he partners closely with our clients, design professionals and construction teams to deliver only the finest quality custom homes.

The hallmarks of Doug’s approach are open communication, teamwork, and creative problem solving.  His responsibilities include managing construction schedules and project costs, coordinating site safety, and organizing our team to bring architectural plans to life in exacting detail. He enjoys building relationships throughout, but at heart, Doug is a “finisher”.  His greatest satisfaction comes from seeing projects to their successful conclusion, with happy clients moved into a beautiful new home.

Doug’s credentials span back to his childhood.  With uncles in tool manufacturing sales, he learned how to use power tools before he could drive and began carpentry at a young age. He later pursued a degree in business and AutoCAD training to complement his work.  After graduating, Doug put his experience and education to use with his own firm for 10 years before joining Sweenor Builders.   His experience spans the gamut of residential renovations, additions and custom homebuilding to large scale commercial projects including the Newport Hospital Vanderbilt addition and construction of several commercial buildings in The Village at South County Commons.
